New Music: Bunji Garlin – “West Indian Jungle”
Bunji Garlin continues to push the boundaries of what Trinidad music could sound like and I can’t complain with this offering. Entitled “West Indian Jungle”, this jvibemusic produced track combines the bravado The Viking is known for with a soundscape that would sound just as at home on a Young Jeezy record as it does here. Stepping away from the standard structure of most soca songs this track swims in the deeper end of contemporary hip hop without compromising the lyrical content. With a lot of multi-syllabic rhymes and a strong hook Bunji is definitely delivering on his promise of contributing to the evolution of Trinidadian music.
